Solutions Netgreen ASP is Developing

 Background on our Solutions

At present we are developing two Solutions, both using IP based systems to provide intelligence and flexibility to the potential users.

We are working on combining the systems to generate a flexible solution of providing IP applications throughout a Domestic house.

Solution 1: Being developed in partnership with NetGreen Solar Ltd. The aim is to provide a programmable embedded controller to operate a system of control to a Solar assisted heating system.

Solution 2: Developing an en expandible, Open IP Hub Interface. Many solutions exist on the market already using different protocols (proprietary and open). We think the IP/TCP protocol is the future, as it will be able to integrate the present and future applications of Web 2.0.

Further Information on our Solutions

Solution 1: Embedded Intelligent Controller

Imagine a low cost controller that communicates to sensors on a local network, providing input data to a program. The program also optimises the program using data gathered from the Internet. The resulting output data then control valves and switches, also connected to the local network.

As the controller is located on an IP network this also enables the data to be copied to a remote server. This action enables the ability of remote control and the possibility of alerting technical Support.

We are at the programming stage of this project, using Open Source software such as Java, PHP and MySQL before field testing on one of the NetGreen Solar development Installations.

Solution 2: IP Hub Interface

Imagine a Solution in your house that could do this:

  • VoIP telephone system, with a virtual handset in every room. Will support Image and Voice.

  • Touch screen Monitor in every room, that can be wall mounted or can be used on your lap for close reading. This monitor shall have the performance to provide Control access to house systems, provide a VoIP interface, surf the Internet and stream multimedia.

  • Centralised Information storage for Software Programmes, TV, Films, Music, Games and Multimedia.

  • An individual Music system in each room, which can be easily setup by the touch screen Monitor. The options could be standalone music Library or support the software on the Monitor (be it VoIP telephone or Multimedia)

  • Centralised Server, that it energy efficient. This shall provide a resource hub to support the remote Touch screen monitors.

  • A combination of a wired (Cat 6)and wireless (802.11n) networks throughout the house, linked to a central distribution Cabinet (Abitana).

  • Interface with other house system controller systems therefore providing an interface to see the status of the relating Inputs or Outputs. A good example will be the above Solution.

  • A security system that also doubles up as a system to control the heat emitters of the Sustainable heating system (in partnership with Net Green Solar).

  • Expandable Infrastructure and programming code using Open Source. This will allow different applications to be bolted or upgraded onto the IP Hub system as they are developed by us or others.

Once a Solution has been sufficiently tested we will be marketing it on our Product page.

If you are interested in our Solutions we will be interested to here from you.

IP Protocol (from Wikipedia) -

Is a protocol used for communicating data across a packet-switched internetwork using the Internet Protocol Suite, also referred to as TCP/IP.

IP is the primary protocol in the Internet Layer of the Internet Protocol Suite and has the task of delivering distinguished protocol datagrams (packets) from the source host to the destination host solely based on their addresses. For this purpose the Internet Protocol defines addressing methods and structures for datagram encapsulation. The first major version of addressing structure, now referred to as Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) is still the dominant protocol of the Internet, although the successor, Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is being deployed actively worldwide.

Open Source (from Webopedia) -

Generically, open source refers to a program in which the source code is available to the general public for use and/or modification from its original design free of charge, i.e., open. Open source code is typically created as a collaborative effort in which programmers improve upon the code and share the changes within the community. Open source sprouted in the technological community as a response to proprietary software owned by corporations.

Embedded Controller (from uiedaq.com) -

An Embedded Controller is simply a device that performs Embedded control. The main differentiating feature of an embedded controller is that all system operation is not controlled by external PC. In fact the CPU running the system is actually built into the I/O system itself. While a typical, slaved data acquisition system is hosted by some type of general purpose Personal Computer complete with mouse, monitor and other human interface devices (HID), an Embedded Controller's processor is usually dedicated to controlling the I/O system and often does not provide any direct human interface.

Differences between an embedded controller and a standard PC are easily observed. However, the differences in software are equally noticeable. While most PCs operating systems for your desktop and laptop computer are large (in terms of RAM and hard drive space needed), operating systems developed for embedded systems are likely to be smaller.

Java (from TechTarget.com) -

is a programming language expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the Internet. It was designed to have the "look and feel" of the C++ language, but it is simpler to use than C++ and enforces an object-oriented programming model. Java can be used to create complete applications that may run on a single computer or be distributed among servers and clients in a network.

PHP (from TechRepublic.com) -

PHP is a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages. You create pages with PHP and HTML. When a visitor opens the page, the server processes the PHP commands and then sends the results to the visitor's browser.

MySQL (from Siteground.com) -

MySQL is a freely available open source Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that uses Structured Query Language (SQL).

SQL is the most popular language for adding, accessing and managing content in a database. It is most noted for its quick processing, proven reliability, ease and flexibility of use. MySQL is an essential part of almost every open source PHP application. Good examples for PHP/MySQL-based scripts are phpBB, osCommerce, and Joomla.

VoIP (from Wikipedia) -

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)  is a general term for a family of transmission technologies for delivery of voice communications over IP networks such as the Internet or other packet-switched networks. Other terms frequently encountered and synonymous with VoIP are IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB), broadband telephony, and broadband phone.
